I'm Not Scared of the Bau Bau is my first ever children's book. It follows Sophia, a curious girl, as she tries to find out what the Bau Bau monster hiding in her room looks like. This story is based on a classic Romanian folklore creature called the Bau Bau, who would go after naughty children, but who no one knows what it looks like. For this project I combined traditional and digital techniques by painting the characters in watercolour, while using digital backgrounds.
